Caring for sensitive skin

Experiencing dry, red, itchy skin, babe? Here are some helpful tips to get you back on track to hydrated, beautiful skin.

Speak to your GP…
Something a bit more serious could be going on than your skin being a bit sensitive to products. It’s always best to give your GP a visit to discuss what’s going on and get a proper diagnosis.

Keep a skin journal…
If you have been reacting to different products, or your skin just seems to have a mind of it’s own, track what products you are using, foods you are eating, and what the weather is doing in a journal to see if there is a pattern. You will then be able to pin point whether you are having a reaction to certain things.

Read the label…
Try and avoid alcohol based, chemical filled products, opting for a more natural alternative, making sure you test the products before use. Do a patch test to see how your skin reacts to products before you go nuts.

Helpful Ingredients for sensitive skin & skin conditions…
Coconut oil has anti-bacterial properties and is great for healing damaged skin, while keeping you moisturised.

Sweet almond oil is hypoallergenic , extremely hydrating and can alleviate itchiness.
